At the national Taste Awards 2025, an event recognizing excellence in food and gastronomy in Serbia, Aleksandar Bućan, Executive Chef of Mona Plaza Belgrade, was named Best Chef.

The Taste Awards cover multiple categories within the gastronomy sector, including restaurants, food and beverage producers, as well as individual awards. During the event, winners were announced in more than 20 categories, with awards presented by jury members and industry representatives.

In the “Best Chef” category, the 2025 award was presented to Bućan, recognizing his work within Serbia’s national gastronomic scene.

On February 27, the jury visited Mona Plaza Belgrade, where Bućan presented his culinary concept at the Šonda Gastro Bar restaurant.

Aleksandar Bućan has more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has participated in the opening of several hotels and has built a reputation in the field of contemporary gastronomy.

As Executive Chef at Mona Plaza Belgrade, Bućan leads the kitchen team and develops a culinary concept that combines modern techniques with regional flavors.
